Youth
The purpose of the 4-H Youth Loans Program is to provide support to 4-H members by providing a loan for the purchase of marketable livestock, feed costs, and vet bills. We offer loans up to $3,500 for Beef, $500 for Swine and $300 for Sheep. Individuals may apply for more than one loan at the discretion of CFEK.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Applicant must be a member in good standing with a 4-H Club in the East Kootenay.
- Applicant and Parent/Guardian must complete the application form and submit the required non-refundable fee.
- Club Leader must confirm and sign the application form.
- Promissory Note signed by the applicant and Parent / Guardian.
- Community Futures will review the application and determine whether the loan is approved.
- No payments are required, and the loan is interest free until the end of August each year.
- Community Futures East Kootenay is to be listed as a loss payee for insurance.
Community Economic Development Grant
Our Community Economic Development Grant provides up to $5,000 in funding to nonprofit organizations within the East Kootenays for projects that support the economic vibrancy and sustainability of communities within the region.
